I have always loved books and learning. According to my mother, I was in preschool when I started lining up my stuffed animals and reading to them. Then I demanded to go to "real" school. Once I got there, I (almost) never wanted to leave.
I grew up in Roanoke, Virginia, and then attended Virginia Commonwealth University for my bachelor and master degrees. I taught in Richmond for three years before moving to Charlotte and teaching at Myers Park High School for eight years before beginning at York Prep in January 2014. I am delighted to be a Patriot!
My husband and I have a daughter born in October 2012 and two dogs who are still wondering when the little person is going away.
